Why be an Owner Operator at MRS

Midwest Refrigerated Services is a Midwest-based, family-owned 3PL built around refrigerated transportation and cold chain logistics for the food industry. We operate the largest fresh and frozen 48-state LTL consolidation pool, supported by multiple warehouse and cross-dock locations with cooler and climate-controlled storage. The freight is consistent, essential, and tied to brands people rely on every day.

For owner-operators, that scale translates into steady lanes, predictable freight, and a partner that understands what it takes to run a profitable operation. You are not treated as a number or a fallback option. You are an extension of the team trusted to move food cold, clean, correct, and on time. That trust shows up in how freight is planned, how equipment is maintained, and how drivers are respected.

MRS is built on Midwest Values: Modesty, Integrity, Dependability, Work Ethic, Efficiency, Safety, and Trust. Midwest Values . . . Nationwide Service isn't a slogan. It's an operational standard. If you are an owner-operator looking for reliable freight, professional relationships, and a long-term partner that values how you run your business, MRS is structured to support you.
