December, 2012: As part of our strategy to provide a wider array of service offerings to our existing customers, and to attract new customers, we are pleased to announce the addition of Angie Westphal to our Logistics team. Angie joins the Midwest Refrigerated Services team to continue the expansion of our brokerage and logistics capabilities. She is a Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) by the Transportation Intermediaries Association. Jim Koeble, Vice-President of Transportation for MRS, commented that "Angie brings a wealth of industry experience in food transport logistics". Her office will be located at our McFarland, WI facility. We look forward to her contributions to our company growth.
September 2011: Midwest Refrigerated Services announces the opening of their Sales and Transportation Administrative offices in De Pere, Wisconsin. The offices, located at 1540 W Main Avenue, will serve as the northern Wisconsin base for MRS.
June, 2011: Midwest Refrigerated Services is pleased to announce the addition of Keri Atkinson to their management staff. Keri joins MRS as their Driver Recruiter & Safety Assistant, bringing more than 10 years of administrative experience in the logistics industry. Jim Koeble, Vice-President of Transportation Operations for MRS stated, "Keri is well-known and respected in the temperature-controlled transportation field. We will look to Keri to champion the change initiatives in our transportation administrative structure. We are excited to have her join our organization."
Added to Midwest Refrigerated Transport's staff is Joan Van De Wettering. Joan brings more than 15 years' temperature-controlled transportation experience including brokerage, LTL, dispatch and administrative responsibilities. She is a welcome addition to the team.
May 2011: Midwest Refrigerated Services is pleased to announce the addition of Jan Fonder to their management staff. Jan joins MRS as their Director of Business Development, bringing more than 16 years of sales experience in the warehousing and logistics industry. Dan Quinn, Vice-President of Warehouse Operations for MRS stated, "...we are thrilled to have someone with Jan's industry experience and reputation join our organization. She is well-respected in the temperature-controlled warehousing and transportation industries. We know she will make an immediate impact on our business growth in both warehousing and transportation."
October, 2010: Midwest aquires the contracted facilities serving a major food manufacturer in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
January, 2010: Midwest Refrigerated Transport recognizes 4 drivers for having surpassed the 1,000,000 mile mark without a preventable accident, 2 drivers for having attained 1,500,000 miles without a preventable accident, and 1 driver for having attained 2,400,000+ miles without a preventable accident.
Sept 2009. Midwest Refrigerated Services expands to Sussex, Wisconsin, adding 8000+ pallet positions (freezer and cooler).
